1. How is working with a CDFA different from working with a lawyer or mediator?
Lawyers focus on legal rights, and mediators facilitate agreements. We focus specifically on your financial picture—helping you understand the short- and long-term impact of decisions so you can move forward with peace of mind.
2. When should I get a financial planner involved in my divorce?
As early as possible. The sooner we’re involved, the more options and clarity you’ll have. We can help you get organized, prepare for negotiations, and avoid costly mistakes.
3. Do you work with both spouses or just one person?
We can work either way. Some clients come to us individually; others work with us as a neutral financial professional during a collaborative or mediated divorce.
4. What if I don’t know much about our finances?
That’s completely okay—and very common. We meet you where you are in the moment and help you understand your financial picture step-by-step, without judgment.
5. Is this service only for high-net-worth divorces?
Not at all. Anyone going through a divorce can benefit from financial clarity and guidance—no matter their income or asset level.
6. I already have a wealth advisor. Can I still work with you?
Yes! We don't manage assets and can work together with with your current advisor.
